With Photoshop, how do you convert a scan of gray pencils to solid black and white only?

Meaning, how do I convert the image so that all gray translates into a solid black and white? Grayscale mode retains the various gray values of the pencil lines, and I want to convert these all to solid black and white.

Turn it into a bitmapped image. It is all B&W.

1. Image, Mode, Grayscale. (It must be grayscale before you can turn it into a bitmap.)

2. Then: Image, Mode, Bitmap.

If this isn't what you wanted, try reducing the mid-tones by increasing brightness and contrast. You can also achieve some line art effects by using "Filters". Experiment! It is all in there! Ya gotta love Photoshop.
